Suspected remains of WWII airman found dangling from tree in Papua New Guinea

Australia's military was Friday making plans to examine the suspected remains of a World War II airman found dangling from a canopy of trees in a Papua New Guinea jungle last week, a spokesman told AFP. Hikers on the Kokoda Trail, where a bitter World War II battle was fought between Australian and Japanese forces, discovered the moss-covered body last week, tangled in parachute lines and hanging from trees in the dense jungle. FTA- Murray blames the hurricane for troubles in his marriage, saying, "Her and I never argued, never fought, never nothing until this hurricane, until we got cramped in that FEMA trailer." His wife, Iris, wouldn't talk on camera, but did say, "Everything is unstable. The kids aren't being raised right because they don't have the proper space." His wife knows she can get the kids and a healthy check every month by leaving this guy, moving away, shacking up with some new guy and have the ex jailed if he doesn't make the payments. Free Country? Not for the divorced dad.

Maudie White Hopkins, who grew up during the Depression in the hardscrabble Ozarks and married a Confederate army veteran 67 years her senior, has died. She was 93. Physical evidence (the actual IL General Assembly vote tally) shows that on March 13, 2003, Barack Obama voted for an amendment making the IL Born Alive Infants Protection Act identical to the federal Born Alive bill. Obama then voted against the amended bill, making him truly more pro-abortion that any other U.S. senator, who all voted unanimously for Born Alive. It makes Obama more pro-abortion than NARAL even, which went neutral on the federal Bill. Yet after the Saddleback Showdown on August 16, 2008, Obama stood by his lie when asked about it by CBN's David Brody, as shown on CNN.

Bonnie Parker (October 1, 1910 - May 23, 1934) and Clyde Barrow (March 24, 1909 - May 23, 1934) were notorious outlaws, robbers, and criminals who traveled the Central United States during the Great Depression. Their exploits were known nationwide. They captured the attention of the American press and its readership during what is sometimes referred to as the "public enemy era" between 1931 and 1935. Although this couple and their gang were notorious for their bank robberies, Barrow, who preferred to rob small stores or gas stations, was believed to have killed, or been a party to killing, at least nine police officers, among several other murders. You can create a global continuum with the most individualistic societies — like the United States or Britain — on one end, and the most collectivist societies — like China or Japan — on the other....The individualistic countries tend to put rights and privacy first. People in these societies tend to overvalue their own skills and overestimate their own importance to any group effort. People in collective societies tend to value harmony and duty. They tend to underestimate their own skills and are more self-effacing when describing their contributions to group efforts. Either way, individualistic societies have tended to do better economically...But what happens if collectivist societies snap out of their economic stagnation? What happens if collectivist societies, especially those in Asia, rise economically and come to rival the West? A new sort of global conversation develops...The opening ceremony in Beijing was a statement in that conversation. It was part of China’s assertion that development doesn’t come only through Western, liberal means, but also through Eastern and collective ones. If Asia’s success reopens the debate between individualism and collectivism (which seemed closed after the cold war), then it’s unlikely that the forces of individualism will sweep the field or even gain an edge. The rise of China isn’t only an economic event. It’s a cultural one. The ideal of a harmonious collective may turn out to be as attractive as the ideal of the American Dream.
