View Article  Al Qaeda endorses Obama
"O God, humiliate Bush and his party, O Lord of the Worlds, degrade and defy him," Abu Yahya al-Libi said at the end of sermon marking the Muslim feast of Eid al-Fitr, in a video posted on the Internet.

Libi, a top al Qaeda commander believed to be living in Afghanistan or Pakistan, called for God's wrath to be brought against Bush equating him with past tyrants in history.

View Article  Is America really going to do this?

The impact of the financial crisis on the American presidential election has somewhat obscured the most important reason why the prospect of an Obama presidency is giving so many people nightmares. This is the fear that, if he wins, US defences will be emasculated at a time of unprecedented international peril and the enemies of America and the free world will seize their opportunity to destroy the west.

View Article  Opposing Murtha

When retired Lt. Col. William Russell decided to run for Congress against John Murtha, a 34-year veteran of the House of Representatives, he didn’t do it because he thought he could win. (Snip) he made the final decision largely because he was appalled at John Murtha’s calls for Iraq withdrawal, and in particular the congressman’s rush to condemn the 15 Marines who made headlines in conjunction with the death of civilians in Haditha

In the last 10 months the Marines in Fallujah have done what was unthinkable before the surge began — they have quietly transferred out of one of Anbar province's largest cities. FOX News has learned in an exclusive interview with Kelly from Fallujah that 80 percent of the move is complete. In February there were 8,000 Marines living at Fallujah base. Now there are about 3,000 left. By Nov. 14 there will be none.

View Article  Murtha cancels debate with opponent

Fresh from calling his western Pennsylvania constituents racists and issuing a stuttering non-apology, Representative John Murtha (D-PA) cancelled a debate with his Republican opponent, retired Army Lt. Col. Bill Russell. As Russell's campaign manager stated: Apparently, Mr. Murtha does not want to face his constituents, but is okay with calling them racists.

Granted: Our leaders, both Democrats and Republicans, have allowed the American economy to fail. The pain this has caused and will continue to cause is incalculable. Maybe We, the People should fire everyone in the House and the Senate, hang Wall Street out to dry, and start from scratch--only we can't, that game is rigged against us.

Maybe this dreadful economic failure was the "October surprise" that Obama's people kept promising. A handful of policy pundits have opined that the Arab Oil Cartel and possibly George Soros had a hand in this economic meltdown. I wouldn't be surprised but I'd need to see the smoking gun on this one.

But then there was the matter of the camel in the room.

View Article  U.S. Rep. John Murtha stands by remark "U.S. Marines killed women and children "in cold blood" in Haditha"

While out campaigning for Barack Obama, U.S. Rep. John Murtha stands by a controversial remark he made previously that U.S. Marines killed women and children "in cold blood" in Haditha, Iraq, in November 2005.

The blunt description changed how American troops engaged Iraqis and improved overall conditions in the war, Murtha, an 18-term Democrat from Johnstown, said today during a wide-ranging interview with Tribune-Review reporters and editors.
