View Article  Artist Sets Up Obama/Clinton ‘Assassination’ Show

NY Times: This morning, a Boston-born performance artist, Yazmany Arboleda, tried to set up a provocative art exhibition in a vacant storefront on West 40th Street in Midtown Manhattan with the title, “The Assassination of Hillary Clinton/The Assassination of Barack Obama,” in neatly stenciled letters on the plate glass windows at street level. By 9:30 a.m., New York City police detectives and Secret Service agents had shut down the exhibition, and building workers quickly covered over the inflammatory title with large sheets of brown paper and blue masking tape. Art? ok, its art. But talking about the assassination of political candidates is illegal and I would guess everyone is touchy when the words 'Obama' and 'assassination' appear in the same sentence these days. Anyway, the attached video is captivating in a morbid way, vulgar and completely unsafe for work.- Riley

If you've ever have been executed while on holiday, you'll probably know that it's easy to offend people from other cultures. Unless you learn the ways of the place you're visiting, even the most well-meaning tourist can regularly find his oesophagus stuffed with burning goat. But surely just plain common sense and good manners will save you, right?

An ATM surveillance camera from First State Bank in Parkersburg, WV caught this amazing footage of a house being destroyed by the deadly May 25th EF-5 tornado.
