I think it would be an absolute cheap shot to blame the falling stock market on Wall Street's sudden realization that Barack Obama will very likely be the 44th president of the United States. But is fear of a potential Obama presidency playing any role at all in the weakness? How many investors, I wonder, buy into the theory of economist Peter Morici, hardly a conservative mouthpiece, who says, "Obama's tax and redistribute policies will not resurrect jobs, wages, or the price of stocks in American retirement accounts. Ordinary Americans who have to earn their livings outside the cosseted confines of Wall Street will be not much better off two years from now. In fact, Obama's policies may make economic conditions worse." More>>>

Last December, someone using the name “Test Person,” from “Some Place, UT,” made a series of contributions, the largest being $764, to Senator Barack Obama’s presidential campaign totaling $2,410.07. Someone identifying himself as “Jockim Alberton,” from 1581 Leroy Avenue in Wilmington, Del., began giving to Mr. Obama last November, contributing $10 and $25 at a time for a total of $445 through the end of February. The only problem? There is no Leroy Avenue in Wilmington More>>>

If John McCain and Sarah Palin win in November, it's likely to be more than many Democrats can stand. Slate V imagines how the Canadian government might try to capitalize on this liberal anxiety. (H/T: Our man McNabb!)

LGF: Barack Obama’s claims that he had no idea about William Ayers’ violent, radical history are simply false: Was Obama Ignorant About Bill Ayers? Of Course Not. William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn were very open, even boastful about their past. How many times does Barack Obama think he can get away with his “see no evil” act? More>>>

Have the mainstream media been fair in their coverage of Barack Obama's associations with radical elements of the American left? Here is a useful guide for answering that question: What if John McCain had similar associations with the radical right?
Imagine if John McCain's career had been launched at the home of a right-wing terrorist such as Timothy McVeigh. Do you think the media would be shrugging their shoulders? More>>>

There's a lot of frustration among conservatives over how Barack Obama's radical past seems to be making no impact whatsoever among the American public. His connection to communists in particular, from communist-terrorists like Bill Ayers to the communist agitator-journalist Frank Marshall Davis to fellow travelers like Saul Alinsky, has simply failed to resonate beyond the political right. At the same time the Bush administration was negotiating a still elusive agreement to keep the U.S. military in Iraq, Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama tried to convince Iraqi leaders in private conversations that the president shouldn't be allowed to enact the deal without congressional approval. Barack Obama and his cousin, Raila Odinga From The Article: "Sen. Barack Obama designated a personal aide as his direct contact for the 2007 Kenyan presidential campaign of Raila Odinga, who later was appointed prime minister after his election loss was followed by widespread, deadly violence that destroyed or damaged 800 Christian churches, according to e-mails obtained by WND senior staff writer Jerry Corsi during a trip to Kenya." Once again, WorldNet Daily scoops the main stream media on a major story... oh hell, who am I kidding? ABC, CBS, NBC and their Big Media pals have No Desire to look into Obama's world wide shady dealings with questionable and criminal people. More>>>

Looks like the geniuses at the Washington Post have just figured out that Average Americans are sick and tired of being lied to by the media... they don't say that as they do their usual 'gee, aren't Republicans scary when they're angry' bit.
From the Article: "There were shouts of "Nobama" and "Socialist" at the mention of the Democratic presidential nominee. There were boos, middle fingers turned up and thumbs turned down as a media caravan moved through the crowd Thursday for a midday town hall gathering featuring John McCain and Sarah Palin. "It is absolutely vital that you take it to Obama, that you hit him where it hits, there's a soft spot," said James T. Harris, a local radio talk show host, who urged the Republican nominee to use Barack Obama's controversial former pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr., and others against him. "We have the good Reverend Wright. We have [the Rev. Michael L.] Pfleger. We have all of these shady characters that have surrounded him," Harris bellowed. "We have corruption here in Wisconsin and voting across the nation. I am begging you, sir. I am begging you. Take it to him." The crowd of thousands roared its approval." More>>>

From The Article: "Is Sarah Palin ovulating? It's a personal question, but we need to know. Last year, a highly-publicized study of strippers found that dancing girls always earned more during the time of the month when they were most fertile." Sexism? In the media? SAY IT AIN'T SO! Ok, so where is CNN's Campbell Brown screaming 'sexism?' No where to be found on this story, huh? More>>>

In the post debate "analysis" tonight after the second presidential debate, Chris Matthews of MSNBC proved once again that he is in such rapture about Barack Obama that it cannot be believed. Tonight, Matthews cast McCain in the role of Snidely Whiplash or some such thing thing because of his "menacing smile." Yet, according to the sycophantic Matthews, Obama's is "debonair. More>>>

Daniel Pipes, founder of the Middle East Forum think tank, says he fully accepts that Obama is a Christian now. But there is strong evidence that Obama received a Muslim upbringing during his years in Indonesia, Pipes said. “It’s fine with me that he was a Muslim and a convert to Christianity,” Pipes told Newsmax. Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal “is a convert from Hinduism. I have no problem with his conversion. What I have a problem with is that he’s lying” when he says he was never a Muslim. Newsmax asked whether Pipes is alleging outright that Obama has lied about having a Muslim upbringing. Pipes’ response: “The evidence suggests to me that he is lying, yes.” More>>>

If Sarah Palin had made just one of the wildly inaccurate statements smugly uttered by Sen. Joe Biden in last week's vice presidential debate, there would have been 3-inch headlines in newspapers across America. (I can almost hear Katie Couric asking me, "Which newspapers?") These weren't insignificant errors, such as when Biden said, "Look, all you have to do is go down Union Street with me in Wilmington or go to Katie's restaurant or walk into Home Depot with me where I spend a lot of time, and you ask anybody in there whether or not the economic and foreign policy of this administration has made them better off in the last eight years." It turns out that Katie's restaurant, where Biden gets his feel for the average American, closed 20 years ago. The only evidence that he spends any time in Home Depot is that it appears that a pipe wrench fell on his head one too many times... More>>> |
