John Murtagh says Barack Obama should have known better than to associate with William Ayers, whose Weather Underground group claimed responsibility for firebombing his family's home nearly four decades ago.
"Barack Obama constantly says, 'I was only 8 years old when this happened.' That's kind of his throwaway line," John Murtagh told FOX News Thursday morning. "I'm not questioning what Barack Obama was doing when he was 8 years old. I'm questioning his behavior as an adult to choose his friends, mentor and longtime personal and professional colleague." Meanwhile, where are CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, etc. on this story? Hey, give them a call and tell them 'WHY AREN'T YOU REPORTING THIS???' Obama was asked recently in a forum with Jewish voters in Florida about his relationship with Palestinian activist Rashid Khalidi. Khalidi, an outspoken critic of the US policy in Israel, was an employee of the Palestinian Liberation Organization “at a time when that was a designated terrorist organization,” according to Daniel Pipes of the Middle East Forum. Obama responded that he knew Khalidi because they both taught at the University of Chicago and Khalidi’s kids attended the same private “lab” school as Obama’s daughters. Obama stressed that Khalidi is “not one of my foreign policy advisers.” Doesn’t this shrug-off ring a bell? Remember how Obama insisted that unrepentant terrorist William Ayres was just a “guy who lives in the neighborhood” and how he conveniently declared that “this isn’t the Tony Rezko I knew” as soon as Rezko was convicted on 16 counts of corruption? Funnyman ventriloquist Jeff Dunham is fuming after a ringtone advertisement based on his popular comedy skit, "Achmed the Dead Terrorist," was scrubbed from South African TV because it mocks Islam. The ringtone was taken from a puppet routine performed by Dunham, a native Texan, in a TV special on Comedy Central. A 10-minute clip of the comedian's routine that was posted on YouTube has been viewed more than 66 million times since April. But the government of South Africa doesn't think it's funny. Pakistani troops and tribesmen opened fire on two U.S. helicopters that crossed into the country from neighboring Afghanistan, intelligence officials said Monday.
The helicopters did not return fire and re-entered Afghan airspace without landing, the officials said. Politico - Over the past few years, perhaps no film controversy has inspired more outrage from conservatives than the Walt Disney Companys handling of the ambitious 2006 miniseries The Path to 9/11. In the wake of Michael Moores 2004 anti-Bush documentary Fahrenheit 9/11 and the 2003 CBS biopic The Reagans, the Disney censorship fiasco has been a frequent bone of contention on right-wing blogs, AM talk radio and other media outlets. In addition to making cuts in its ABC-TV telefilm after complaints from political forces, the company also shelved plans for a subsequent DVD release. Now the imbroglio has been revived for a direct-to-video documentary called "Blocking 'The Path to 9/11'," produced by right-wing rabble-rouser David Bossie and directed by former radio host John Ziegler. On its surface, the new video is a fascinating piece of behind-the-scenes investigative work. But, like the original telefilm and its quashing by the Clinton camp, it is not without its own political intrigue.
