View Article  Dude... where's my fish?

Editor's Note: Saw this in my email this morning and our pal Tarrant was nice enough to let us post it.  If anyone has any advice or comments for Tarrant (be nice, please...) leave in the comments.

Girlfriend lives in an 'environmental co-op' (read: hippie house) at an all girls college.  They eat vegan and vegetarian foods, rally against Republicans, and don't flush their toilets after every pee. (my girlfriend doesn't subscribe to 90% of it, I have converted her)

Basically, the deal is, the school owns this gigantic house.  To live in this house, you need to agree to participate in the "co-op."  Meaning the girls take turns cooking vegan meals, have house meetings, and establish rules to live 'environmentally friendly.'

They also go to a lot of 'rallies' against 'anti-environmental people' (read: Bush), support women's rights (abortion, right to be a lesbian), and do that kind of activism stuff. (my girlfriend actually went to a school of america protest with them, until i called them out, refuted all their arguments, and offered to let them sit in on a few courses at ft. benning).  They refused, and my girlfriend got pissed at them because she felt like she was lied to.

Anyway, I go out and get food last night.  A flounder sandwich.  A big ass flounder sandwich that I couldn't finish.  I put it in her fridge and go to sleep.  I wake up, hoping to finish my sandwich-- its gone!!

I asked one of her roommates if they ate it, and they said it was thrown out.  They don't want meat in their fridge, fish is meat, fish feel pain, I can't believe you put it in our fridge, we've told you not to put meat in our fridge before.

So they hold a house meeting about my abuse of the fridge and have determined that I've lost my 'fridge privilege' meaning they don't want me using it anymore.

Needless to say, they are not particularly fond of me.

They've just cast Christina Ricci as Trixie, Speed (Emile Hirsch)'s girlfriend. John Goodman and Susan Sarandon are already onboard as Speed's parents. This project is just bizarre to me. I've said it before... it's just weird this exists... and it keeps attracting interesting people.
