Whatever happened to recouping costs from public gathering permits and not issuing so many that it bankrupts the city? PROTESTERS MUST cover the cost imposed on the public for their actions. Asking the Government to pay for the sake of those who defy it is pure insanity.

If only the military itself could be allowed to police these events. I doubt many with an IQ above fifty would dare protest.

Exactly. Far as I know, the military was engaged in lawful activity. But you and I both know that in a misguided act of pure public relations, they'll pick up the tab. It ain't right.
