Many were shocked and stunned by the footage showing pro-illegal alien demonstrators cheer and taunt as police grab a man who stuck his middle finger up at the marchers, before slamming his face into the concrete. But why should we be? Illegal aliens are a protected underclass and they are seemingly above the law.

People think the Democratic-led Congress is doing just as dreary a job as President Bush, following four months of bitter political standoffs that have seen little progress on Iraq and a host of domestic issues. The survey found only 35 percent approve of how Congress is handling its job, down 5 percentage points in a month. That gives lawmakers the same bleak approval rating as Bush, who has been mired at about that level since last fall, including his dip to a record low for the AP-Ipsos poll of 32 percent last January.

Now even I hate to see someone picked on too much, but the F-bomb blogger of Edwards fame just seems to crave the attention and wallow in the lunacy of the Left. Since I am still banned from the land of Pandagonia I can’t play in the Feminist sandbox anymore. I feel like the little boy kicked out of the park by a bunch of girls (and one girly-boy). And since birth, due to certain anatomical parts she’s missing, I’m automatically part of the vast conspiracy of patriarchy that seeks her perpetual subjugation. I guess that’s the excuse that allows me to override my usual kind and considerate nature to poke her with a stick from time to time. (Plus I think she deserves it.)

I was born in England, in the city of Newcastle-upon-Tyne which is proud of its long history, which can easily be traced back to the period of ancient Rome’s occupation of Britain. There are many vestiges of the occupation but the most famous remains are those of Hadrian’s Wall. This was a stone wall extending from the east coast to the west coast of England, built to protect the Roman occupied country south of the wall from raids by northern barbarians, or so I was taught. I have never questioned this explanation until recent events have caused me to consider another purpose for Hadrian’s Wall.
