Manuel Flores is an illegal alien fugitive from the law. He is accused of raping and sodomizing his girlfriend's nine-year-old daughter.

Manuel Flores is free, reportedly headed back to Mexico, because federal immigration officials screwed up, according to a local Denver report. I linked to this story earlier today, but it deserves greater exposure. And it deserves the attention of DHS Secretary Michael Chertoff, who has been too busy demonizing immigration enforcement proponents to make sure his behemoth bureaucracy is doing its damned job: (Hat tip Michelle Malkin, HotAir)

(Editorial note: I intend to post this pic with every immigration-related story we post here at The Saloon until our elected representatives get the message that We The People are tired of the spoon-fed propaganda on immigration we've been getting so far and we start seeing Congress and the President enact tough legislation on the law-breakers, particularly those who employ illegals)

I'm sorry, but we are not serfs and vassals and we aren't living in an oligarchy quite yet. I understand that a tiny, yet powerful, minority of people in this country have a vested interest in foisting this god awful immigration amnesty, er reform, on us but I personally don't intend to take it sitting down. In fact, I believe that nothing less than the future of the Republic is at stake and that we owe it to our kids and grandkids to speak up right now. We can't permit 10 to 20 millioni illegals, together with tens of millions of their family members, to flood the country. There will be no recovering from the damage that will be done socially, economically, and politically if we do.
