A judge on Monday voided a 10-year sentence for a man accused of having consensual oral sex with a 15-year-old girl when he was 17. He instead gave Genarlow Wilson a 12-month misdemeanor sentence with credit for time already served.

Very disappointing considering he was Secretary of State on 9/11 and knows first hand the threat we face from al-Qaeda. The left is going to jump all over this....

Here is a cut and paste from the front page of the Drudgereport.com... there is something wrong with this picture and the attached articles. First, many times people on the far left and far right have hammered Joe Lieberman's support of Israel, citing 'GASP- He's a Jew!' It is veiled anti-Semitism, but they throw it at him anyway because no one is real uptight about Jew-bashing these days... it seems to be en vogue. There's Joe, arm in arm with the Prime Minister of Israel, with a Menorah over his head (HEY, did you know Lieberman's a Joo?) I don’t remember John F. Kennedy threatening war on Italy because the Pope could use some more parking spots in Rome… So let’s not make Senator Lieberman look like a sellout. Second, read each of the attached articles- Speaking of Olmert, he isn't mentioned in any of them. Not one. So why is the picture relevant? Oh Yeah... Lieberman- Joo. Joo-ish State; he sells out America for his fellow Joos... pushes America to war with Iran to protect Israel because, you know… He’s a Joo. But that's what them crafty Joos are all about... right? Sorry Matt, the whole layout leaves you open to this sort of criticism and lets be honest, a nuclear armed Iran is bad for everyone, not just The Joos. I would like to think one of the most interesting fellows on the internet isn’t playing the anti-Semitic card but that layout of his makes me wonder.

The results were pretty evenly divided among Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, with John Edwards a strong third. But digging deeper with the Wisdom of Communities, we saw an interesting pattern- when filtering results by religion, 80% of atheists thought Barack Obama won the debate.

I'd bet my bottom dollar
that William Jennings Jefferson's folks taught him what all perceptive parents
taught their black baby boomer children about the secret of succeeding in the
racially challenged U.S. of A.: ''You've got to be twice as good as the white
man.'' Somewhere along the line,
the 60-year-old Harvard Law graduate forgot his upbringing.

About five years or so back,
I started making references in columns to "fine upstanding members of the
Undocumented-American community." But from the lame Steyn joke of
yesteryear to the reality of tomorrow is a mere hop and a skip. A few days ago,
Harry Reid, the Senate majority leader, declared: "This week we will vote
on cloture and final passage of a comprehensive bill that will strengthen
border security, bring the 12 million undocumented Americans out of the
shadows, and keep our economy strong."
