This is the absolute worst time to be appeasing Muslims....

Gordon Brown has banned ministers from using the word “Muslim” in ­connection with the ­terrorism crisis.

The Prime Minister has also instructed his team – including new Home Secretary Jacqui Smith – that the phrase “war on ­terror” is to be dropped.

The shake-up is part of a fresh attempt to improve community relations and avoid offending Muslims, adopting a more “consensual” tone than existed under Tony Blair.

Terror plot hatched in British hospitals

Five of the eight people under arrest last night are said to be doctors. Another of those detained is the wife of one of the doctors, who is a medical assistant working for the NHS. The home of a sixth doctor is said to have been searched by police. Late last night an Australian television network reported that a suspect wanted in connection with the attacks had been arrested in Brisbane.

It is a very saddening situation, having to sacrifice everything you have in order to fight for the right to be a father in you child's life. How we as Americans can continue about our lives without addressing this issue is remarkable. We worry about animals, pollution, politics, stem cells, immigration; all while the foundation of America decays around us. The suspected ringleader of the failed bomb plot has been named as 'brilliant neurologist' Mohammed Asha, 26.

Saudi-born Asha, 26, was arrested with his 27-year-old wife, who was in traditional Muslim dress, on the M6 in Cheshire on Saturday night.

Much wisdom to be found in this clip. Mark Steyn and Mansour Ijaz join Neil Cavuto to discuss terrorism and its possible imminence here in the US. In the early part of the segment, which I didn’t catch, Steyn seemed to agree that the attacks in London and Glasgow were motivated in part as a welcome to UK PM Gordon Brown. Steyn’s argument that the margin between clown terrorists and lethal terrorists is slim is particularly noteworthy, as is Ijaz’s sobering conclusion at the end.
