View Article  Follow Up: Poster Boy for 'White Guilt' apologizes for his words only

Another Chicago minister is causing headaches for Barack Obama after he told the Democratic candidate’s church congregation Sunday that Hillary Clinton felt entitled to the presidency because she’s white.

Catholic pastor Michael Pfleger, who is white, issued a formal apology for his sermon Thursday after Obama put out a statement saying he was “deeply disappointed” by Pfleger’s remarks at Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago.

“I regret the words I chose on Sunday. These words are inconsistent with Senator Obama’s life and message, and I am deeply sorry if they offended Senator Clinton or anyone else who saw them,” Pfleger said.

You lowlife, lyin' dog. You said it, passionately and you believed it. And he hasn't apologized for jack- he apologized for the words he chose, not the message. Face it Mike, you're a bigot and in your case, a bigot with a very bad case of White Guilt. Websites like TheSaloon.net break this story and NOW you're sorry- not for what you believe but for they way you said it. And because you got caught. And what about all those people in the congregation, nodding their heads, agreeing with your hate filled invective you spewed in God's name?

Don't worry folks, we'll be watching. -Riley

In an interview yesterday with the San Francisco Chronicle, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi claimed the U.S. troop surge failed to accomplish its goal. She then partially credited the success of the troop surge to “the goodwill of the Iranians,” claiming that they were responsible for ending violence in the southern city of Basra.

Asked if she saw any evidence of the surge’s positive impact on her May 17 trip to Iraq she responded:

Well, the purpose of the surge was to provide a secure space, a time for the political change to occur to accomplish the reconciliation. That didn’t happen. Whatever the military success, and progress that may have been made, the surge didn’t accomplish its goal. And some of the success of the surge is that the goodwill of the Iranians-they decided in Basra when the fighting would end, they negotiated that cessation of hostilities-the Iranians.

This is an inexcusable slander.

The high court affirmed a decision by an appellate court last week, saying Child Protective Services failed to show an immediate danger to the more than 400 children swept up from the Yearning For Zion Ranch nearly two months ago.

I'm not a Fundamentalist Mormon, but for the government of Texas to go on a wild power grab based upon an unsubstantiated report screams for a lawsuit. Now sit back and wait for the horror stories to emerge of how these children's religious beliefs were assailed while in foster care. –Riley

View Article  AZ State Bar accused of serious ethical misconduct for obstructing illegal immigration enforcement

Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas has asked the Arizona Supreme Court to investigate the Arizona State Bar Association for ethical misconduct involving thwarting illegal immigration enforcement. The State Bar began investigating Thomas and other prosecutors in the County Attorney's Office after Thomas challenged the Maricopa County Superior Court for deliberately refusing to follow Prop. 100, a voter initiative that passed in 2006 with 78% approval prohibiting bail for illegal immigrants accused of serious crimes. When the Superior Court refused to comply, Thomas successfully got the state legislature and the Arizona Supreme Court to force them to. Angry that Thomas had taken on the courts and won, some retired judges lobbied the State Bar to "do something" about Thomas.
