"That was a highway robbery," NBC analyst Bela Karolyi said of Cheng's bronze. "She shouldn't have won anything. You can't fall on your face and be rewarded with an Olympic medal, there's no way. There is no explanation."

I watched the vault competition. My scorecard?
Gold - Oksana Chusovitina, Germany Silver - Alicia Sacramone, USA Bronze - Hong Un Jong, South Korea Actually, the bronze could have gone to either Hong or Cheng in my book. Cheng's first vault was nearly flawless, but she landed on her knees in her second. Hong, on the other hand, kept landing outside the foul line. Sacramone's landings weren't perfect sticks, but they were certainly better than Hong's. The analyst was absolutely right. She was robbed. Bela Karolyi is one of my new favorite people on the planet. He has been just absolutely brutally honest in his commentary. I thought Bob Costas was going to lose it when Karolyi went off about the age of some of China's gymnasts.

I've enjoyed watching the soccer, basketball and tennis at the Olympics this year.
