SHE'S just a beauty queen. She's another Dan Quayle. And ironically, the biggest criticism of Sarah Palin, John McCain's veep choice, is she has no experience. Funny, coming from the Barack Obama camp. Following McCain's announcement of Palin - the first female to be put on a GOP ticket for the White House, and only the second in US history - the Obama campaign skipped the niceties and blasted her as the "former mayor of a town of 9,000 with zero foreign policy experience." She's also a governor of Alaska (my home state), the first woman in that office and the youngest elected in state history. She has an 80-plus percent approval rating. She has turned the state upside down with her reformist zeal and has made enemies of the Republican establishment. More>>>

In an audit of durable medical equipment claims (a fraudster favorite), Medicare reportedly told the auditor only to examine the documents submitted by the companies selling the equipment. But auditors are also supposed to randomly select some claims for a deeper dive, to review the underlying medical records and see whether the claim is medically justified The limited audit found that 7.5% of claims paid by Medicare were inappropriate. But the draft report, from the inspector general of Health and Human Services, found that the actual error rate was closer to 31.5%... Are you not now convinced that we should throw away our current healthcare system in favor of one with this kind of efficiency? Is there nothing that the Federal Government can't do? - Roland More>>>

DailyKOS ran an article (Here) alleging that Sarah Palin was not pregnant this past Winter, it was actually her 16 year old daughter and possibly the result of incest, with not one shred of proof. None. The article was titled: "The Palin pregnancy" Fark.com grabs the article and posts it with the following headline: "Governor MILF faked a pregnancy to hide the fact that her 16 year old daughter was preggers, possibly as the result of incest. Boy that is going to make one heck of a porn film" If I were Sarah Palin I would sue DailyKOS for the article and Fark.com for the headline. If you want to fabricate accusations that someone within her family raped her daughter and she was part of a conspiracy to cover it up, then either back it up or print a retraction or get sued. The daughter is a minor and this is slander. The KOS kiddies love to talk about 'keepin' it real.' Well let me be clear in that I wish dueling over matters of Honor was still legal. -Riley More>>>

Even as Barack Obama gave his soaring speech Thursday night, his campaign was playing hardball with its critics. Team Obama has launched an offensive against WGN, the Chicago Tribune's radio station, for interviewing Stanley Kurtz. Mr. Kurtz is a conservative writer who this week forced the University of Illinois to finally open its records on Sen. Obama's association with William Ayers, the unrepentant 1970s Weather Underground terrorist. More>>>

I don’t know why people love ragging on other people’s beers. You never see people this jumpy about wine coolers. But I do know how to capitalize on a trend. Here at Cracked, we take a certain pride in our ability to mock other people for many diverse reasons, ranging from their religious views to their lame superpowers. And we want to help you, the reader. Below is a simple list of arguments you can bring up when drinking at the bar, on the beach or in the sauna, which will help you prove conclusively why the beer you’re drinking makes your genitals ten times larger than the other guy (or girl.) When a hockey mom named Sarah Palin ran for governor as a Republican outsider in 2006, she took on not only a sitting governor from her own party but also Alaska's Republican establishment -- vowing to clean up a political system that had been rocked by an Federal Bureau of Investigation corruption probe. After handily winning, her popularity in Alaska soared as she went on to sack political appointees with close ties to industry lobbyists... More>>>

Russian troops deep inside Georgian territory are stopping thousands of refugees from returning to their homes, a Georgian official said on Saturday. Russian troops were still manning checkpoints in Georgia and patrolling a Black Sea port even after Moscow pulled back much of the force it deployed to crush Georgia's attempt to take back two separatist provinces More>>>

The revolver looks like a .357 and she doesn't look real experienced with firearms. Maybe she should have started out with a .22 pistol...?

Millions spent for the convention, 38 millions viewers on the last night for Barry's 'Olympic' acceptance speech, MSNBC giving him daily lap dances on cable TV and the best this guy can muster is FOUR POINTS? Yep, on November 5th I think a lot of Democrats are going to commit Mass Suicide, which they say will also help the environment... More>>>

William Kristol: A spectre is haunting the liberal elites of New York and Washington--the spectre of a young, attractive, unapologetic conservatism, rising out of the American countryside, free of the taint (fair or unfair) of the Bush administration and the recent Republican Congress, able to invigorate a McCain administration and to govern beyond it. That spectre has a name--Sarah Palin, the 44-year-old governor of Alaska chosen by John McCain on Friday to be his running mate. There she is: a working woman who's a proud wife and mother; a traditionalist in important matters who's broken through all kinds of barriers; a reformer who's a Republican; a challenger of a corrupt good-old-boy establishment who's a conservative; a successful woman whose life is unapologetically grounded in religious belief; a lady who's a leader. For grins... her nickname on her high school basketball team was "Sarah Barracuda." More>>>

Back in the 1970s when Sarah Palin was in elementary school, Wasilla was a sleepy little town with a few hundred people. No longer. Wasilla is now a big town, at least by Alaska standards, with 7,000 residents, with much of the growth occurring during Palin's term as mayor. Residents on Friday celebrated when Palin was chosen as John McCain's running mate for president. More>>>

"The Democratic Party strongly and unequivocally supports Roe v. Wade and a woman's right to choose a safe and legal abortion, regardless of ability to pay, and we oppose any and all efforts to weaken or undermine that right." According to the Grand Rapids Press, "The plank in support of abortion rights is even stronger than usual....Gone is the phrase from the past that abortions should be safe, legal and 'rare'."
