Biden: Obama might pursue criminal charges against Bush
by

· Biden says criminal violations will be pursued
· Democrats have issued subpoenas to Bush aides
· 3 staffers have been held in contempt of Congress
This is not a road Mr. Obama wants to embark upon. Current administrations prosecuting former administrations for political purposes sets a very bad precedent for our country. -Roland

CAIR to the RNCC: No ‘Islamophobia,’ please

As delegates to the Republican National Convention gear up for speeches by Sen. John McCain and Gov. Sarah Palin, an Islamic civil liberties group is urging the GOP candidates to stay away from Muslim-bashing and extend an olive branch to members of the faith. “We urge Senator McCain and Governor Palin to offer inclusive speeches at this week’s Republican convention and ask that they both avoid divisive Islamophobic rhetoric,” said Nihad Awad, executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, or CAIR.
Sorry, Awad, the dhimmis had their convention last week. The GOP has little interest in what a group that helps support radical muslim terrorist groups wants. -Roland

Hanson: To Palinize...
by

Palinize: to slander and caricature a working-class female public figure for the noble advancement of liberalism. Sarah Palin—self-made woman, and governor of Alaska—is being reducing by the left to a hickish, white trash mom of five, analogous to the manner that esteemed jurists like Kenneth ("cigarette lawyer") Starr and Robert Bork were slandered by the media as incompetent right right-wing fanatics, and Clarence Thomas was pilloried as an affirmative action sex-maniac.

The smearing of Sarah Palin gets uglier

Time's Mark Halperin has posted an advance copy of the cover of US Weekly magazine, the tabloid published by Rolling Stone's Jann Wenner. That cover shows a smiling Sarah Palin, holding her youngest son Trig. The screaming headline: "Babies, Lies and Scandal: John McCain's Vice President." Wenner has contributed $5300 to Obama's campaign since 2007. The cover was sent to select news organizations by Mark Neschis, the head of corporate communications for Wenner Media

Who Vetted Obama?

We are living witnesses to an incredible media double standard, whereby a Republican vice-presidential candidate’s personal life is being torn apart, while the Democratic presidential candidate continues to get a free ride. Obama has a 30-year history of associating with unsavory characters, beginning with communist Frank Marshall Davis and continuing with Jeremiah Wright and communist terrorists Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, which should disqualify him from getting a security clearance in the government that he wants to run.
But the media would rather talk about Republicans and sex.

#7 The Macho Man: This guy shows up commenting on any video or news story that involves a fist fight or confrontation. He's quick to remind us of what a badass he is in the real world, and is quick to make physical threats ("You want to come to Jersey and say that to my face??!?!?!").

A Time-Warped Sexist Assault on Sarah Palin
by
Riley Jones
on Wed 03 Sep 2008 10:52 AM EDT
When Joe Biden tragically lost his wife and infant daughter in a car wreck in 1972, not a single colleague, friend or competitor advised him to quit his newly won Senate seat to raise his two little surviving sons.
Rather, he was sworn into office from the injured boys' bedside, and took to commuting an hour and a half each way from Delaware to Washington. And when Biden's second wife gave birth to a daughter, no one thought to ask him to step aside and stay home.
They all do it. John Kennedy did it; so did Barack Obama: Men run for office and serve in elected positions while creating small children without ever being patronized as "super dads" or "multi-taskers."
Nor are they penalized, ridiculed or dismissed for ignoring their kids. They're good dads.
If Sarah Palin, tapped as John McCain's running mate, were a man, it's unlikely we'd even be having this conversation. (A man, or a Democrat.)

Are we mad? Every organ of the state now seems intent on protecting those who would destroy us

The picture on today's Mail Online website says it all. Abu Qatada, wanted by Jordan for involvement in terrorist attacks, strolls down a London street, carrying groceries paid for by the British taxpayer.
Beside him, on a mobile phone, apparently acting as a go-between, is Yasser Al-Sirri, wanted by Egypt for aiding an assassination attempt in 1993 of the then Prime Minister with a car bomb, which instead killed a young girl.
Both these men despise the country that is sheltering them. To Qatada, it is the duty of Muslims to kill non-Muslims. Al-Sirri refers to the 'impotence and criminal nature' of the British government.

Jerry Reed, Dead at 71

Jerry Reed, 71, died of complications from emphysema early Monday, September 1, 2008. His longtime booking agent, Carrie Moore-Reed gave the following statement: “He’s one of the greatest entertainers in the world. That’s the way I feel about him.”
Jerry told the story of how he got his first guitar. His mother bought it for him for $7 dollars from a neighbor across the street and taught her son a few chords. Reed didn’t have any guitar picks so he remembered using nickels. With no formal training, he developed his craft by watching other musicians in clubs and then practicing 16 hours a day.

Sowell: A Knock or a Boost?

Since Governor Sarah Palin's daughter is not running for election this year, it is amazing how much the media has suddenly become obsessed with her. Her pregnancy not only made the front page of the New York Times, a printed announcement of her pregnancy stayed at the bottom of the television screen on CNN for what seemed to me to be about an hour or more.
